We offer a niche service specializing in excavating, lot clearing, septic and sewers, and drainage solutions, but have knowledge of the entire construction process.

Founded by Kurt Slansky, whose family has been in the construction trade for more than 100 years, Elite Earthworks specializes in excavating, lot clearing, septic and sewers, and complete drainage solutions.

Servicing Medina County and the surrounding counties in Ohio, we handle anything that requires moving dirt.

We serve the residential, commercial, municipal and agricultural markets, so whether you are looking for an excavating company to clear a wooded lot, need to demolish a structure on your property, need a septic system installed or repaired, looking to waterproof your basement, want to create a pond, or even prepare the ground for a horse arena, we can do it all.

OUR FOUNDER

Growing up on a dairy farm, company founder Kurt Slansky has always had his hands in the dirt. “I remember when I was four-years-old tagging along with my dad and grandfather on construction sites,” he recalls. “My family has been in the construction trade for more than 100 years so I followed their path, working as a homebuilder doing everything from pouring concrete, installing siding and remodeling kitchens—and now starting my own company.”

In addition to his construction background, Kurt is well versed in horticulture, as he was an ISA Certified Arborist. Now both backgrounds meld to bring a well-rounded perspective to Elite Earthworks.

Very mechanically inclined, Kurt is a hands-on owner who still likes to get his hands dirty. “Now we are just bigger boys, playing with bigger machines, playing in a bigger sandbox,” he jokes.

Our Services

Septic and Sewer

We install, repair and maintain septic and sewers. Whether you are a current homeowner or building a new home, we can help with all your septic and sewer needs. We handle everything from soil tests and designs to permits and installation. With a variety of systems available we can help pick what’s right for your property and, most importantly, your wallet.

Certified to install any septic system allowed in Ohio, we offer concrete and fiberglass systems along with a variety of pumps for sewer hookups. We can also help with alterations and repairs of existing systems.

Ponds

Whether you want to install a pond on your property for recreation or need to dig a retention pond to help collect storm water and move it along, we are experienced in pond installation.

If you want a fishing pond, we can dig it, build the dams and construct the aquatic habitat with dirt shelves, fish bunkers, vegetation and boulders before it fills up with water.

From a quarter-acre pond to 3-plus acres in size we can create any shape you desire. In addition to installation, we can repair ponds and stop leaks.

Land Clearing and Mulching

If you have a wooded lot you want to build a home on, we can clear the land. If your commercial property needs a new parking lot, we can make room for that. We also can clear away years of overgrowth and downed trees to reclaim property trails, maintain dams or create a specific wildlife habitat.

With a background in horticulture, we are skilled in the different species of trees and shrubs. We are mindful of erosion control and good stewards of the environment, as we realize everything we do affects the earth.

New Build

Oftentimes we are the first contractor on a homesite clearing the lot and digging the basement and the last ones there doing the final grade to prep for the landscaping.

We can handle everything from initial site work, digging the basement, waterproofing, utility hookups, installing driveway and final grading.

Basement Waterproofing

Our drainage solution services are all-encompassing from digging swales and ditches to collect storm water, installing city storm drains, constructing footer drains under a house, to complete basements waterproofing.

Working from the outside in, we offer different methods of exterior waterproofing. By properly waterproofing the outside of your home and diverting water away from your walls, we stop the water from coming in.

Horse Arena

We can install drainage, remove vegetation and work in new base and add sand footing to create a new horse arena or help maintain existing ones. Not all horses are the same and neither is the footing they step on. Different footing and depths can make or break a horse. Matching the footing to the horse and style of riding is crucial to maximize performance and reduce risk of injuries.

Our family members show horses and work as a farrier so we offer this specialized service since we understand horses and are passionate about equines.

Demolition

We offer full demolition services for houses, barns and other structures on residential property.

As a demolition contractor, we take down structures, haul away the debris, and refill any holes in the ground with dirt when necessary. We are EPA-compliant, bonded and insured.
